MULTAN,Feb 27th: Pakistan Engineers Forum (PEF)president Syed Mumtaz Shah has said that super powerslike United States are against the self-suffiency and self reliance of Pakistan and they have hatched a conspiracy to turn Pakistan into a consumer Market."Though the country is faced with serious power and energy crisis ,no mega project for power generation was executed .Resultantly ,our agriculture as well as Industry went to the brink ofcomplete destruction," He added while addressing a press conference here today.He said that foreign policy was being controlled by the foreign powers which never permitted any ruler to go beyond te limits.He disclosed that PEF was going to hold engineers coinvention in all the four provinces in March to create awareness among the masses on Power crisis and role of engineers to meet the requirement of electricity.He added that an international engineers convention would follow in April in Islamabad to draw line of action for coping with water and power shortage.He said that power and water crisis badly hit our agricultural economy and gas, electricity loadshedding ruined our industry .He pointed out that unemployment rose to a horrible level as a large number of industries were shut down across the countr.
