165 JI ACTIVISTS BOOKED

MULTAN,Feb 27th:Layyah Police have registered a case under Section 16 of Maintenance of Public Order against 15 leader and 150 workers of Islamist Party on the charge of using derogatory remarks about District and Session Judge and organising a protest rally when the court cancelled the pre-arrest interim bail of Muhammad Asghar Gujjar Ex-MPA and five office bearers.DCO Layyah Javed Iqbal said,"A case has been instituted against 165 persons under MPO-16 on the report of Security branch of Layyah Police for staging a rally and shouting slogans against District & Session Judge Layyah when he cancelled the pre-arrest bail of Islamist party activists,"They were involved in organising an Anti Musharraf rally four year ago and Police had registered a case against them In April 2005 when  a clash between law enforcers and the MMA activists left 14 people injured, including 10 policemen.Police have nominated Muhammad Asghar Gujjar Ex-MPA, his brother Anwar Gujjar, District Amir of JI Lsyyah Mehmood Waraich, EX-Amir Mubashar Naeem, General Secretary Rizwan Khan, Sana-ullah Advocate, Ehsan-ullah, Elahi Bakhsh,Maqbool, Bashir Ahmed,Abdullah Oud, Saeed Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed,Tanveer Ahmed Maqbool Elahi and Ghulam Rasul.
