POLITICAL PARTIES REJECTED POL PRICES

MULTAN,March Ist: All Political Parties Except PPP have rejected the the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) decision to raise the prices of petroleum products by 9.9 percent describing them unjust and unfair.Pakistan Muslim League-N 's MNA Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Begum Tehmina Daultana,MNA, Abndul Waheed Arain, MPA, have strongly reacted on the recent prices of Petroleum productv and said that Government should reduce its taxes on POL instead of increasing the prices.They said that recent increase would bring another flood of price hike which would badly hit the daily wage earners and salaried class.Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Nawabzada Mansooir Ahmed Khan also rejected the new prices of POL describing them an extra burden on the poor people because these would help in increasing the prices of all commodities, transport fare and carriage.He said that Present regime was fleecing the common man.The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Regional Incharge Karamat Ali Sheikh rejected the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) decision to raise the prices of petroleum products by 9.9 percent,. According to sources, MQM Rabita Committee member Iftikhar Akbar Randhawa rejected OGRA’s decision after its emergency meeting in Multan to review the price hike. MQM demanded the government take back the decision in three days. MQM leader Waseh Jalil said that the party has rejected the petroleum price hike. He said MQM would announce its further course of action if the government did not take back the decision. Another leader of the party, Khawaja Asif, demanded boosting the consumer’s purchasing power if raise in the petrol price is vital. On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Ejaz Akhat Chaudhry, and Jamaat-e-Islami's Rao Zafar Iqbal  have also rejected the raise in the petroleum products’ prices. The JI announced that it would hold a demonstration over the decision..
