Babar Awan indicted in Kidnap, dacoity case
Federal Law Minister Babar Awan was charged with robbery and abduction in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The court of civil judge Mahar Sarfaraz Hussain framed charges against federal minister Babar Awan in a dacoity case. He was not appearing before the court and had filed an application, through his lawyer, to seek exemption from court hearing on grounds of official engagements. He appeared before the court today and called the case as political victimization and denied charges against him. The court directed the prosecution to present its witnesses in the case.Civil Judge Rawalpindi while hearing a pending case of kidnap and dacoity registered at New Town police station charged the minister and adjourned the hearing till March 12.Federal Minister Babar Awan was also present at the time of hearing.
